  • 150ml milk
  • 8g instant yeast for savory cakes
  • 80g Calabrian spianata sausage
  • 20g sun-dried tomatoes
  • 40g grated Calabrian pecorino cheese
  • 20ml extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How to prepare Calabrian waffle sandwiches

Start by mixing chestnut flour, yeast, and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, beat the egg with the milk and extra-virgin olive oil and add them to the dry ingredients.

On one side, cut Calabrian pecorino cheese, Calabrian spianata sausage, and sun-dried tomatoes into small cubes.

Heat a waffle iron and start cooking the waffles for 5 minutes on each side. Serve the hot waffles and garnish with grated Calabrian pecorino cheese shavings.
