Spaghetti with anchovies and breadcrumb

Spaghetti with anchovies and bread crumbs, are typical of the Calabrian city Cosenza. Despite its simplicity, this dish has long-standing roots and a very intense flavor. Born in the Southern Italy, where olive oil and chili are widespread ingredients, this recipe is now one of the most appreciate of all.

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 320 gr of spaghetti
  • 2 anchovy fillets
  • 2 fresh red chilies
  • 80 gr of bread crumbs
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Olive oil
  • Chili powder

How to make spaghetti with anchovies and bread crumbs

Put in a pan some olive oil, the chopped garlic clove, the fresh red chilies finely sliced, the chili powder and the anchovy fillets, then brown for a few minutes.

Meanwhile, toast the bread crumbs in a small pan.

Cook the spaghetti in low-salt water and, when they are almost cooked, end the cooking in the pan, adding the toasted bread crumbs. Just this, the pasta is ready!
