Calabrian recipes: breaded and fried ricotta cheese
Fried ricotta is a tasty dish, simple and quick to prepare. To serve hot, we recommend to taste it with an onion or chilli jam.
Ingredients for 4 people
- 300 g of ricotta cheese
- 2 eggs
- EVO oil
First, cut the ricotta cheese into slices and then cut them into small pieces.
For the success of the dish is important that the ricotta is well dry, precisely for this reason if it is from the day before even better.
Beat the eggs in a plate and add a pinch of salt, then pass the dairy product first in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs. Before frying, make sure that the breadcrumbs adhere well to the whole surface of the ricotta.
Once golden brown and drained, salt the chunks to taste and serve them very hot. Enjoy your meal!
