Peppers stuffed with meat and sausage: the Calabrian recipe
The peppers stuffed with meat and sausage are a substantial and very tasty second course. This recipe allows you to prepare a tasty but also colourful dish, thanks to the use of yellow and red peppers.
Ingredients for 4 people
- 4 peppers (yellow and red)
- 400 g of minced beef
- 200 g of sausage
- 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan
- 3 tablespoons of breadcrumb
- Chopped parsley
- Black pepper
- EVO oil
Wash the peppers and cut them in half, then remove seeds and internal filaments. In the meantime, put the minced beef into a large bowl.
Add the pulp of two sausages and complete the filling with breadcrumb, salt, pepper, grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. At this point, mix the ingredients well before moving on to the next step.
Stuff the peppers with the freshly prepared mixture and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper, pour a drizzle of oil over the vegetables stuffed with meat and sausage and, finally, bake them at a temperature of 190° for at least 40-45 minutes. Serve hot.
We suggest to accompany this dish with a good rosé wine served fresh.
