2 pounds of red peppers
1 kg of sugar
1 liter of white wine vinegar
1/2 liter of ExtraVirgin Olive Oil
2 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon of flavored salt with chili
How to prepare Calabrian sweet and sour pepper recipe
Wash the peppers and cut them in half, removing the seeds.
In a pot, mix the sugar and vinegar until the sugar is fully dissolved. Add the garlic, Extravergin Olive Oil and flavored salt with chili.
Add the peppers to the pot and mix well.
Cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes or until the peppers are soft and the liquid has thickened.
Remove the garlic and store the peppers in sterilized jars.
