Baked anchovies au gratin for 4 people

Baked anchovies au gratin are a perfect second course for summer: tasty and fragrant, they can be prepared easily and in a short time.

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 800 g of cleaned anchovies
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Parsley
  • Lemon zest
  • Breadcrumb
  • EVO oil
  • Salt

Baked anchovies au gratin: the recipe

To make the baked anchovies au gratin, first of all prepare the breading: chop parsley and garlic, put them in a bowl and add the breadcrumb.

Mix everything well, then complete with a drizzle of oil, a pinch of salt and the grated lemon zest.

Line a baking tray with baking paper and grease it with oil. Align the anchovies inside the baking pan, overlapping them slightly so as to create compactness during cooking. Then cover them with breadcrumb and season them further with olive oil.

Transfer to a preheated, ventilated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes. If necessary, turn on the grill during the last minutes of cooking to obtain a more golden colour. When cooked serve with lemon slices.
