Apricot jam Bimby: quick and easy recipe

Apricot jam is great for breakfast or to stuff tarts and cakes. Thanks to the Bimby, obtaining the right thick mixture will be even easier: all you need is a lemon, organic apricots and caster sugar.

The only precaution to be taken is to use previously sterilized jars, so that the jam can be perfectly preserved for several months, although once opened it will have to be consumed within a few days.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of apricots
  • 1 lemon
  • 340 g of sugar

The recipe

Put the apricots (cleaned and cut into pieces), lemon juice and sugar in the jug. Place the upturned basket over the lid without measuring cup (to avoid splashes).

First: 40 minutes, 100 degrees, speed 1. Then: 10 minutes, Varoma temperature, speed 1.

Check the cooking with the saucer test and, if necessary, continue for a few more minutes at Varoma temperature. Transfer the jam into the sterilized jars, close them and turn them upside down for vacuum.
